Laundry Attendant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our facility. This position is essential in ensuring that all laundry items are laundered, dried, and pressed to meet our high standards of quality and service, particularly in a hotel environment. Responsibilities Launder, dry clean, and press various types of linens and garments according to established procedures. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron items efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Monitor laundry supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to management. Follow proper handling procedures for delicate fabrics and special cleaning instructions. Assist with inventory management of linens and uniforms as needed. Provide excellent service by responding promptly to requests from hotel staff regarding laundry needs. Requirements Previous experience in a laundry or dry cleaning environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of laundering techniques for various fabric types is a plus. Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
