Position Summary Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Metro Airport Romulus is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to support the hotel's daily laundry and linen operations. The Laundry Attendant helps ensure clean linens, towels, and other hotel laundry items are properly washed, dried, sorted, folded, organized, and prepared for use throughout the property. This position requires attention to cleanliness, organization, safety, and Marriott quality standards while working in an active hotel laundry environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collect and receive used hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items. Sort laundry according to type, color, material, condition, and cleaning requirements. Load linens and other items into commercial washing machines. Operate washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment. Remove items from washing and drying machines promptly. Dry linens and other hotel laundry according to proper procedures. Sort and count clean laundry items. Fold towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other hotel linens. Organize clean laundry for distribution throughout the hotel. Prepare linens and supplies for use by housekeeping and other hotel departments. Identify stained, torn, damaged, or unusable linens. Separate damaged or heavily stained items for appropriate handling. Maintain appropriate laundry supply levels. Keep laundry equipment and work areas clean and organized. Assist with transporting linens and laundry throughout designated hotel areas. Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and laundry products. Follow manufacturer and hotel instructions when operating laundry equipment. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards. Report malfunctioning laundry equipment or unsafe conditions to management. Follow Marriott safety, security, and loss-prevention procedures. Protect company property and hotel assets. Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Communicate professionally
