Hourly, Non-Exempt Position Summary The Laundry Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of clean linens, towels, and other laundry items to support daily hotel operations in a limited-service hotel environment. This role supports guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness standards, properly operating laundry equipment, and ensuring hotel linens are cleaned, organized, and available for housekeeping and guest needs. Primary Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items. Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect linens and towels for stains, damage, or wear and remove unusable items from circulation. Maintain and organize linen storage areas and laundry room workspaces. Ensure adequate supply of clean linens is available for housekeeping and front desk operations. Follow proper laundry procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and safety standards. Practice First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures when rotating linen inventory. Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and safe at all times. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to management promptly. Assist housekeeping staff as needed to support operational demands. Guest Experience Expectations Support timely room readiness by ensuring linens are cleaned and available when needed. Maintain consistent cleanliness and presentation of hotel linens. Contribute to a positive team environment focused on guest satisfaction. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull at least 25 lbs. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required. Physical & Work Environment Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals. Fast-paced laundry room environment. Professional Standards Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with hotel grooming and uniform standards. Demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork.
