Position Summary:
The Laundry Assistant processes, cleans, folds, and delivers facility and resident laundry in compliance with infection control standards, ensuring sufficient and clean supplies for resident comfort and dignity. ________________________________________________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain separation of soiled and clean laundry per infection control policies. Operate washers and dryers according to facility procedures and manufacturer instructions. Handle residents' personal laundry with care, ensuring proper return to owners. Stock linen carts and closets, maintaining organization and accessibility. Assist in preparation for surveys and inspections. Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly to supervisor. ________________________________________________________________________________ Skills & Competencies Knowledge of infection control and universal precautions. Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Time management and organizational skills. Interpersonal abilities for interacting with residents and staff. ________________________________________________________________________________
