In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the laundry operations, ensuring all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned to the highest standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming and spotless atmosphere for our guests and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in laundry and cleaning services within a vibrant hotel setting. Duties Operate laundry machines such as washers, dryers, and specialty equipment to process linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing. Sort laundry items based on color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal care. Perform dry cleaning procedures for delicate or specialized garments using appropriate solvents and equipment. Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning machines, work surfaces, and storage spaces. Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals and operating machinery to ensure a safe working environment. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies of detergents, cleaning agents, and linen stock levels. Support other housekeeping tasks as needed to uphold the hotel's cleanliness standards. Skills Proven experience in laundry operations or cleaning services is preferred; hotel experience is a plus. Knowledge of various laundry techniques including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning processes. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control to ensure all items meet cleanliness standards. Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines. Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple loads of laundry simultaneously. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report any equipment issues promptly. A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
