Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment including garment care machines, industrial dryers, and dry cleaning units efficiently and safely. Handle textiles and linens with care, ensuring proper sorting, washing, drying, and folding according to established procedures. Manage laundry materials handling using push carts and other equipment to transport items securely throughout the facility. Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas regularly and adhering to safety protocols in all laundry processes. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving linens, towels, and other textiles while following manual handling safety guidelines. Monitor laundry processes for quality control, ensuring garments are cleaned thoroughly without damage or loss. Follow all safety standards in production environments and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Qualifications Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting. Basic math skills for measuring detergents and managing laundry loads accurately. Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards related to textile cleaning. Familiarity with laundry detergents, fabric care products, and cleaning chemicals is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a focus on garment care and cleanliness. Excellent customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with team members and supporting overall guest satisfaction.
