Duties Operate garment care machines including washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process linens, uniforms, and other textiles with precision. Handle laundry materials safely using appropriate detergents, stain removers, and sanitation procedures to ensure high-quality cleaning results. Manage heavy lifting tasks such as loading push carts with laundry loads and transporting items throughout the facility while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing regular sanitation of equipment, surfaces, and storage spaces in accordance with safety standards. Assist with materials handling by sorting, folding, and organizing textiles for timely delivery or storage. Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper manual handling techniques and use of personal protective equipment. Provide friendly customer service by responding promptly to laundry requests and ensuring garments are cared for according to fabric specifications. Requirements Prior experience in cleaning or laundry services is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and pushing carts carrying laundry loads. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, calculating load capacities, and managing inventory levels. Knowledge of sanitation practices and safety standards in textile cleaning environments. Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning units is advantageous. Strong attention to detail to ensure garments are properly cleaned, sorted, and cared for during processing. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
