Job Description

Laundry is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of linens and other laundry items, ensuring a clean and organized laundry area, and assisting in the overall upkeep of the facility. The Laundry hours 5:30am to 2pm Responsibilities & Duties Collect soiled laundry, sort, wash, dry, fold and distribute linens, towels and other items Operates washing machines and dryers to clean linens and other items Maintains laundry equipment clean, good working order, follow safety procedures and reports any needed repairs/maintenance issues promptly. Ensure proper use of detergents and other cleaning agents Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary Understand and adhere to facility policies and procedures Qualifications & Skills Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care, is preferred but not required Ability to perform in a high stress, fast-paced environment Ability to work in a team environment Physical Demands and Environment Shift work is required, employee may be required to stand for extended periods, sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk and hear. May occasionally lift medium to heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
