Advanced laundry management systems, efficient plant operations, green technology, hygienically certified, high-tech equipment and facilities, RFID tracking solutions, and many advanced technology-driven options establish Halifax Linen Service as a high-tech textile solutions provider for the industry. Job Description The basic requirements for a technician can include working in various areas of the facility. Technicians must be able to work in our Soil Linen area ( sorting soiled linens), Iron Area ( feeds linens into iron and folders), able to folds linens by hand,package, and load carts.
Basic requirements:
Must be able to do repetitive work by standing in a designated are for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50 Lbs. Must be able to have open availability to work various hours to meet daily business needs. Should have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED plus a minimum of one year of relevant experience. Base wage offers a two-step increase within the first 90 days if employees are able to meet production rates during probationary period.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets up and operates machine following established procedures and policies Ensures machinery operates efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements Performs daily inspections prior to beginning operations Follows all safety policies and procedures Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred One year of relevant experience Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Benefits 401(K) Dental Insurance Major Medical Paid time Off (PTO) Vision Insurance
