Responsibilities Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Handle materials carefully during sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding to prevent damage and ensure quality. Manage heavy lifting tasks using push carts or other tools to transport linens, garments, and laundry materials efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the laundry area by properly handling laundry detergents and cleaning agents. Follow safety standards in production by adhering to safety protocols for manual handling, machinery operation, and chemical use. Perform routine inspections of laundry equipment to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely delivery of clean textiles while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Experience Proven experience working as a laundry attendant or in a similar textile cleaning role within a commercial or hospitality environment. Knowledge of laundry services including textile cleaning methods such as dry cleaning and washing techniques. Familiarity with garment care machine operation, industrial dryers, and sanitation procedures. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while managing materials handling equipment like push carts. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or other supplies accurately. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety protocol adherence. Strong attention to detail with a focus on garment care quality and customer satisfaction.
