Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Laundry Tech, you will be a central figure in maintaining essential hygiene and cleanliness standards, meticulously processing linens and garments for various departments. You will play a vital role in ensuring a consistent supply of clean, sanitized textiles that support health and operational efficiency.
Every day, you will expertly operate commercial laundry equipment, meticulously sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute high volumes of soiled and clean items according to established protocols and infection control guidelines. You will also perform routine maintenance checks, identify malfunctions, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility, adhering strictly to safety regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will combine a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail in handling and processing textiles, and a proactive approach to maintaining a sanitary and efficient workspace. You will demonstrate physical stamina, the ability to follow precise instructions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting fundamental daily operations. Ensure infection control guidelines and procedures are carefully followed. Used linen is sorted according to fabric and degree of soil, with careful observation for potential safety hazards (i.e. pins, sharps, personal belongings, etc.). Linen is washed and dried according to department standards and guidelines. Laundry chemicals including soaps, detergents, bleach and other solutions are accurately used according to established procedures. Linens are inspected for holes, defects, flaws and quality of cleanliness. Defective items are repaired or referred for corrective handling.
