Laundry Worker

Memorial Community Health is seeking a part-time Laundry Worker to join our team. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday plus every other Saturday with previous experience working in environmental services in a healthcare setting preferred. The position executes all general laundering including linens, articles of clothing, etc. in a clean, safe, and aseptic manner. Apply online at www.memorialcommunityhealth.org Responsibilities and Duties Duties include, but are not limited to: Processes soiled linens according to procedure. Weighs, charts and sorts laundry according to color and fabric chart. Handles and treats soiled items according to policy and procedure. Uses appropriate amount of laundry supplies. Reports to supervisor any unusual items found when sorting linens. Folds all clean laundry as necessary for proper storage. Delivers and stocks clean and sanitary linens throughout the facility. Irons linens as necessary. Verifies all linen storage areas are well stocked. Maintains adequate supply of linen to ensure areas do not run short. Maintains laundry work area and equipment in a neat, organized and effective manner.
