Responsibilities Operate laundry equipment safely and properly. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and other laundry items. Follow proper linen-handling and infection-prevention procedures. Use PPE and laundry chemicals safely and appropriately. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the laundry area. Follow procedures to prevent cross-contamination. Keep laundry supplies and work areas organized. Perform other duties as assigned based on facility needs. Qualifications Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional cleaning preferred. 1 year of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply. Prior healthcare/SNF/LTC laundry experience is a plus. Knowledge of infection prevention, linen handling, PPE, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and proper use of laundry chemicals preferred. Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Must be able to safely operate laundry equipment and perform the physical duties required for the position.
