Laundry Worker

OVERVIEW

Laundry Workers are responsible for operating commercial laundry equipment to clean customer garments and textiles to a high standard within a large garment care facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

Inspection & Sorting:

Evaluate garments and textiles to determine the appropriate processing method based on fabric type, brand, color, staining, odor, customer instructions, and other relevant factors. Sort items accordingly and in the correct sequence for processing. 2.

Inventory Tracking & Team Communication:

Ensure all items are accurately accounted for and properly organized as they move through each stage of the production process. Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill orders to company standards and resolve issues promptly and efficiently. 3.

Operating Commercial Laundry Equipment:

Learn, maintain, and operate a variety of commercial laundry equipment to clean customer items to standard. Physical duties include lifting, loading, unloading, folding, bagging, and hanging customer inventory and other materials, including items requiring heavy lifting. 4.

Quality Control:

Identify quality issues — such as improper cleaning results — before items advance further in the production process. Resolve problems directly where possible, or escalate to the appropriate team for timely corrective action.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications Genuine drive to contribute to and grow with a high-performing team. Must be at least 18 years of age with reliable transportation and the flexibility to work variable hours and days as business needs require. Prior experience in commercial laundry, dry cleaning, professional garment care, or a closely related field. Placement within the compensation range is commensurate with the depth of this experience. Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and to regularly and safely lift approximately 25-50 lbs, along with other comparable physical demands. Ability to work in proximity to chemicals and heavy machinery while consistently adhering to safety protocols in a physically demanding, hot, and noisy production environment. Basic computer and math proficiency, including prior hands-on experience operating commercial laundry or dry cleaning equipment. Fluency in English or Spanish (one or both). U.S. citizenship or valid U.S. work authorization. Preferred Qualifications English fluency is preferred, though not required. Spanish language skills are a plus, though not required.
