Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Laundry Attendant, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our laundry operations running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of textile cleaning and laundry services, ensuring garments and linens are cleaned, sanitized, and cared for to the highest standards. Your proactive approach will contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both staff and customers. Duties Operate laundry machines such as industrial folding machine, washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to process textiles efficiently. Handle laundry materials with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury and ensure safety standards are met and following protocol. Sort, load, and unload laundry loads using push carts or other materials handling tools. Pack accurate linen and towel supplies for cabin needs Apply appropriate laundry detergents and cleaning agents while adhering to safety protocols for chemical use. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including washing stations and equipment, following strict safety standards. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport large loads of linens or garments safely. Conduct routine inspections of textiles for stains, damages, or quality issues, ensuring proper garment care procedures are followed. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and textile cleaning and folding processes Experience with laundry services operations such as garment care machine operation and industrial dryers. Ability to handle materials safely with manual handling skills and awareness of safety standards in production environments. Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or other solutions accurately. Excellent customer service skills to assist staff or clients with their laundry needs professionally. Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure all textiles are cleaned to health and safety standards. Familiarity with safety protocol adherence related to chemical use, heavy lifting, and equipment operation.
