LAUNDRY ATTENDANT
Associates are paid weekly! SUMMARY Operate washing and drying machines to wash, dry, and fold the linens, blankets, and similar items for Hotel/Guest use.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Unload and sort soiled linen. Load machines with the proper amount of soiled linen. Unload washers and load dryers. Sort and fold clean linen. Oversee the proper operation of the washers and dryers. Keep the laundry room clean and orderly. Complete other duties as assigned to include cross training. Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times is an essential function of this job.PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs. Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet. Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down. Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs. Repetitive motions of bending, stooping, and twisting.WORKING CONDITIONS
Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise. Must adhere to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures (e.g., hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation.)SUCCESS FACTORS
Effectively manage time. Ability to communicate with guests as well as management and team members. Ability to work under time constraints, and in a fast-paced environment. Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation. Follow all safety procedures. Meets or exceeds productivity standards. Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred. Must pass criminal background check.Benefits
