In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of linens, garments, and textiles to maintain high standards of sanitation and garment care. Responsibilities Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers and dryers to efficiently clean textiles. Handle laundry materials with care, ensuring proper sorting, loading, and unloading of items. Use push carts and other equipment to transport laundry loads safely throughout the facility. Follow safety protocols during all manual handling and cleaning processes to prevent injuries. Maintain sanitation standards by properly applying laundry detergents and cleaning agents. Conduct routine inspections of laundry equipment to ensure optimal operation and report any malfunctions. Adhere strictly to safety standards in production, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with textile cleaning tasks, including stain removal and garment inspection for damage or wear. Skills Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, laundry services, and textile care techniques. Ability to operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers efficiently. Experience with materials handling, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Understanding of safety standards in production environments to ensure a safe workplace. Excellent customer service skills when interacting with staff or clients regarding laundry needs. Familiarity with sanitation practices and proper use of laundry detergents and cleaning agents. Ability to work collaboratively using push carts and other equipment safely and effectively.
