Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry according to facility procedures. Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain an organized and clean laundry area. Follow infection control, safety, and sanitation policies. Use cleaning chemicals and detergents according to manufacturer and facility guidelines. Ensure residents' or patients' personal clothing is properly labeled and returned. Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor. Maintain accurate laundry records when required. Assist with other housekeeping or environmental services duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited high school or GED preferred.
