Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor Position Summary The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring all hotel linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms are cleaned, processed, and distributed according to hotel standards. This position supports the Housekeeping Department by maintaining an adequate supply of clean linens while ensuring laundry operations are performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with hotel procedures. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Laundry Attendant Duties Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, bedding, and uniforms according to established procedures. Operate washers, dryers, ironing equipment, and folding machines safely and efficiently. Inspect linens and uniforms for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report concerns to management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, workstations, and storage areas. Monitor inventory levels of linens, towels, uniforms, and laundry supplies. Ensure proper handling, usage, and storage of cleaning chemicals, detergents, and laundry products. Assist with delivering clean linens to housekeeping storage areas and collecting soiled linens as needed. Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the department. Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and sanitation guidelines. Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to management immediately. Assist housekeeping staff with additional duties as assigned. Support hotel operations by responding promptly to linen requests from guest service and housekeeping teams. Qualifications and Experience Required Previous customer service experience required. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Preferred Previous hotel, housekeeping, laundry, or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Experience operating commercial laundry equipment preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, associates, and management. Knowledge of laundry procedures, cleaning products, and safety practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing operational needs. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate laundry equipment and machinery. Ability to perform repetitive motions, including lifting, folding, and sorting linens. Ability to remain on feet for up to 8 hours per shift.
