Non-exempt POSITION SUMMARY
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the cleaning, laundering, and proper handling of guest linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles. This role ensures that all items are laundered to Coury Hospitality's high standards, contributing to overall guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel textiles. Operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, and pressing equipment. Maintain proper handling of delicate or specialty fabrics according to guidelines. Monitor and maintain laundry supplies such as detergents, chemicals, and linen inventory. Ensure linens and uniforms are delivered to housekeeping and other departments promptly. Keep laundry areas organized, clean, and well-stocked. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on laundry equipment. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the Laundry Supervisor or Maintenance department. Ensure proper use and storage of laundry chemicals and equipment. Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, stains, and damage. Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and environmental regulations. Follow Coury Hospitality standards for linen care and handling. Work closely with Housekeeping, Room Attendants, and Supervisors to meet operational needs. Assist in training new laundry staff when required. Communicate effectively with team members regarding inventory, delivery schedules, and operational concerns. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred. Ability to operate laundry machinery and handle chemicals safely. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to handle repetitive motions such as folding, sorting, and pressing. Ability to work in warm, humid laundry environments.
