This role is responsible for providing quality laundry services that ensure residents have clean clothing and linens while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized laundry environment. Key Responsibilities Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for resident care and comfort Collect resident laundry daily and as needed Sort, stain-treat, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and facility linens Label resident clothing items as needed Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner Inspect linens and garments for damage and remove worn or stained items from service Follow all sanitation, infection control, and laundry procedures Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and notify appropriate staff when supplies are needed Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently Keep laundry areas clean, organized, and sanitary Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns promptly Assist with housekeeping duties as needed Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred Previous laundry, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred One year of experience preferred Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organizational and time-management skills Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment We are an equal opportunity employer.
