Job Description

Position Summary Westminster Towers & Rehab in Rock Hill, SC is looking for a qualified, well-rounded, enthusiastic team player that is passionate and committed to providing an exceptional experience. The Environmental Services Assistant will be trained in all areas of the Environmental Services Department. This includes housekeeping, laundry, and janitorial. This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness and appearance of rooms, common areas and other areas throughout the campus. The Environmental Services Assistant will focus on cleaning, sanitation, and infection control across multiple care levels (Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing).
Core Responsibilities Sanitation & Disinfection:
Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and high-traffic public spaces using proper infection control protocols.
Floor & Surface Care:
Vacuum, sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff hard floors and carpets.
Waste Management:
Safely handle and dispose of regular trash, recycling, and biohazard or medical waste in line with OSHA regulations.
Resident Support:
Assist residents with light room arrangements, laundry services, or moving tasks with a polite and helpful attitude.
Event Setups:
Prepare community rooms and dining areas by setting up and tearing down tables, chairs, and equipment Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping carpet and/or floors. Dusting and cleaning all fixtures, furniture, and structures ( ie. pictures, window sills, vents, cabinets, walls, etc. ). Cleaning and sanitizing bathroom and room items, by using proper chemicals ( ie. bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, refrigerator, microwaves, etc. ) Changing linen and making beds according to admissions and discharges as well as Residents Apartments. Removing all trash. Inspecting room for safety hazards and damaged linen. Completing daily deep cleaning assignments. Reporting maintenance tickets appropriately and turning in lost and found items daily & immediately. Maintaining proper cleanliness and organization of storage closets and housekeeping carts. Is committed to providing excellent service. Provides residents with quality services, friendliness and a smile.
Requirements:
~ Prior housekeeping experience is a plus. ~ Customer- service orientated. ~ Excellent work ethic. ~ Strong attention to detail.
Work Environment:
~ Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours. ~ Required to kneel, reach, squat, bend, crawl, pull, push, and twist.
