Day Shift - Weekends and Holidays Required Tru by Hilton Knoxville Alcoa Airport is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel linens, towels, and other laundry items are properly washed, dried, folded, and organized to meet Hilton's cleanliness and quality standards. This is a fast-paced position that requires excellent time management, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently while supporting the housekeeping department. Key Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize hotel linens, towels, washcloths, and other laundry items. Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently. Maintain a continuous supply of clean linens for housekeeping staff throughout the day. Inspect linens for stains, damage, and excessive wear, removing unsuitable items from circulation. Properly use laundry chemicals and cleaning products according to safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room, equipment, shelving, and storage areas. Keep clean and soiled linens properly separated to prevent contamination. Assist housekeepers with stocking linen carts and distributing clean linens to guest floors. Monitor laundry equipment and promptly report maintenance issues to management. Follow established procedures for handling and storing hotel linens. Assist with inventory counts and notify management of low linen supplies. Help maintain cleanliness in housekeeping storage areas. Assist the housekeeping department with additional duties as assigned. Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, and brand standards. Qualifications and Requirements Previous hotel laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple loads of laundry efficiently. Must be dependable, punctual, and have reliable transportation. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to work cooperatively with housekeeping staff and management. Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
