Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laundry Manager to join our growing team. As the Laundry Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our laundry facility, ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning of linens. You will be responsible for managing a team of laundry staff, maintaining inventory levels, implementing quality control measures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all activities related to the laundry department, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding of linens. Create and implement efficient workflows and schedules to ensure timely completion of laundry. Maintain high standards for quality control and actively monitor and address any issues. Ensure that inventory levels of laundry supplies are maintained and make timely orders when necessary. Train and supervise a team of laundry staff, including assigning their duties, monitoring their performance, and providing constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Oversee maintenance and repair of laundry equipment and promptly report any issues to the appropriate person. Develop and maintain relationships with staff to understand their needs and communicate any issues or delays effectively. Prepare and maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and other relevant data. Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience (3 years) as a Laundry Manager or similar role. Extensive knowledge of laundry operations and equipment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
