Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of all surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle laundry operations by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, elevators, and restrooms through regular floor cleaning and custodial tasks. Use safety data sheets (SDS) to handle chemical agents properly while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling and industrial cleaning procedures. Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and steamers to ensure high standards of cleanliness are achieved consistently. Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures including inventory control of supplies and reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly. Support hotel emergency procedures by understanding safety protocols related to sanitation hazards or accidental spills, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff alike. Experience Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or industrial setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices including sanitation standards and floor care techniques. Experience with chemical handling and using cleaning equipment safely in compliance with safety data sheets (SDS). Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures to respond swiftly to safety concerns or incidents. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling laundry loads or moving cleaning supplies. Prior experience in hospitality environments that emphasizes cleanliness, safety protocols, and efficient housekeeping management is advantageous.
