Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, super friendly and customer-oriented Laundromat Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the laundromat, assisting customers, washing and folding clothes and ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet and assist customers with inquiries, machine operation, and payment processing. Provide clear and helpful instructions on machine usage and available services. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment.
Bilingual Communication preferred:
Effectively communicate with customers who speak primarily Spanish or English. Our goal is that every customer leaves with a smile!
Maintenance and Cleaning:
Regularly clean and sanitize all machines, floors, folding tables, and other surfaces. Empty trash receptacles and maintain a clean and organized laundromat. Monitor machine functionality and report any malfunctions to the manager. Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as unclogging drains and changing light bulbs (if applicable). Maintain the bathroom cleanliness.
Clothes Washing and Folding:
Wash and fold customer's clothes neatly and efficiently as part of a service offered.
Cash Handling and Transactions:
Process payments, including cash, card, and coin transactions. Maintain accurate cash register records. Assist customers with change machines.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and replenish supplies, such as soap, fabric softener, and bags. Report low inventory levels to the manager.
Security and Safety:
Monitor the laundromat for safety hazards and report any concerns. Ensure the laundromat is secure during operating hours. Follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills for cash handling. Reliable and punctual. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
