This position is responsible for processing hotel linens, maintaining a clean and organized laundry area, cleaning public areas, removing trash, and maintaining the cleanliness of the parking lot and exterior areas. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests. This position requires the ability to work independently, follow hotel standards, and assist with various cleaning duties as assigned by management. Responsibilities Laundry Duties Operate commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize towels, sheets, pillowcases, and other hotel linens. Inspect linens for stains, damage, or excessive wear and report issues to management. Use laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals according to proper safety procedures. Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and free of hazards. Clean and maintain laundry equipment and work areas as needed. Transport clean and dirty linens throughout the hotel using laundry carts. Properly store clean linens and maintain an organized linen supply. Public Area Cleaning Clean and maintain hotel public areas . Clean and maintain the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairways, entrances, and other common areas. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors as needed. Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to management. Trash & Property Cleanliness Perform regular trash pickup from designated areas throughout the hotel property. Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed. Collect and properly dispose of trash according to hotel procedures. Keep the parking lot clean and free of trash, debris, and other litter . Walk the exterior areas of the hotel regularly to check for trash and cleanliness issues. Report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, spills, or maintenance concerns to management. Assist with other general cleaning duties as assigned. Experience & Qualifications Previous hotel, housekeeping, laundry, or cleaning experience is required . Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push laundry carts, and lift/move laundry bags and supplies. Ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds . Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean environment. Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assigned duties in a timely manner. Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors , including during varying weather conditions. Must maintain a professional appearance and follow hotel policies and procedures. Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist other departments when needed.
