Job Summary Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Laundry Attendant, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and freshness of our guests' linens, towels, uniforms, and other textile items. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all laundry services meet the highest standards of sanitation and garment care. Your dedication will directly enhance guest satisfaction by providing pristine linens and textiles that contribute to a welcoming and comfortable stay. Duties Operate laundry machines including industrial washers, dryers, and garment care equipment to ensure efficient cleaning of textiles. Handle materials with care, including sorting, folding, pressing, and organizing linens and clothing items. Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport heavy loads safely throughout the laundry area. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment, including proper handling of laundry detergents and cleaning chemicals. Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning work areas regularly and ensuring all laundry processes adhere to health regulations. Assist with dry cleaning services when required, using specialized equipment for delicate fabrics. Support customer service efforts by promptly responding to laundry requests from staff or guests when applicable. Experience Prior experience in a commercial laundry or textile cleaning environment is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided. Familiarity with laundry detergents, sanitation procedures, and safety standards in production environments is advantageous. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals, sorting textiles, and managing laundry loads accurately. Knowledge of garment care machine operation and textile cleaning techniques such as dry cleaning is a plus.
