Summary/Objective A Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel. Laundry attendants also may be responsible for cleaning guest's personal items if the hotel offers a cleaning service. Responsibilities Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Sort all linens and treat stains Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents Take wet, clean items and dry as directed Sort and fold or hang clean dried items Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to manager Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform manager as to any maintenance needs Perform additional laundry services when necessary Competencies Attention to Details Organization Skills Time Management Ability to keep up with business demands pace Flexible work schedule Work Environment Work is generally performed in the laundry room and hotel guest areas and public areas setting. The laundry room is also prone to be warm due to the equipment producing heat. Physical Demands Requires standing for long periods of time and on occasion may be asked to lift and carry up to 40 pound. While performing the duties of this job, it may be also required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Qualifications Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Preferred Education and Experience Previous laundry or dry cleaning experience desired.
