Job Description
Friday-Monday 8am-4pm As the Hotel Laundry Staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the Hotel are properly stacked with clean linens, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the Hotel. Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older, must be able to work weekends and holidays. Have the ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. Previous Laundry experience helpful, but not required. Must be able to stand for an eight (8) hour shift or more, be able to bend, lift and reach, have the capacity to work as a team player or individually. Capable of multi-tasking projects/duties all at once. Ability to follow directions both written and verbally. Must be able to carry loads of up to 50 pounds on occasions, and be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds. Sort linens for washer, remove stains from badly soiled linen Dispose of linen and towels properly Operate washers and dryers properly as well as ensuring that the correct chemicals (and amounts) are being used Fold linens to Hotel standards and keep stock organized in designated places Wash comforters, coverlets, mattress pads, and blankets in accordance with Hotel standards Keep laundry neat and clean Assist housekeeper in cleanliness of Hotel when needed Assist with cleaning and up-keeping of laundry areas Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings.
