Responsibilities Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment to process linens, uniforms, and guest clothing. Handle laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, adhering to all safety standards in production. Sort, load, and unload laundry loads using push carts or other materials handling tools while practicing proper manual handling techniques. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of laundry areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. Assist with the collection and distribution of laundry items across hotel departments or designated areas. Perform routine inspections of textiles for damage or stains and notify supervisors for special cleaning needs like dry cleaning. Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to requests for laundry services or special garment care instructions. Experience Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with textile cleaning processes including laundry washing, dry cleaning, and garment care machine operation is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials efficiently throughout shifts. Basic math skills for measuring detergents and calculating load capacities accurately.
