ABOUT OUR ROLE
The Laundry Attendant creates a memorable experience for our guests by ensuring quality and cleanliness throughout the guest journy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Inspect cleanliness of articles and remove them from the washer, dryer and place in clean linen carts. Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on fabrics contained in the load. Remove articles from the dryer when the cycle is complete. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, drain trap after each load. Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes, either by hand or using the folding machine. Operate washing machinery in accordance with Trailborn standards. Follow hazardous material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides, blood borne pathogens, use Material Safety Data Sheets, etc. Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE) and employ the correct lifting procedures, as necessary to avoid injury. Identify stained or damaged items and determine status for repair, spot treatment, rewash and discard. Complete all daily and shift related checklists. Exhibit a friendly, helpful, learning, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
Problem solving skills with the ability to navigate complex situations, address guest complaints and find solutions promptly. Customer Oriented Attitude exhibiting a friendly, professional demeanor, focused on creating a welcoming atmosphere to the entire work environment. Knowledgeable having a quest to learn, be well-informed about the area, services, events, pricing, and promotional offerings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to remain upright continuously on a firm surface for an 8-10-hour shift. Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid. Must be able to ascend to 6 feet in height on a step ladder. Must be able to position oneself appropriately to efficiently make beds, carry trash, vacuum, sweep, dust and be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event rooms
