Job Description

The Wig Technician assists in building wigs and facial hair for all Sight & Sound Theatre productions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ventilating wigs, alter purchased wigs, add lace fronts, work with purchased facial hair, style moustaches and beards. Help the team achieve timeline goals for show build tasks. Able to maintain excellent quality and workmanship, follow standard operating procedures. Be teachable and open to learning new interpersonal and task related skills. All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
Experience with styling and maintenance of wigs and facial hair for stage characters needed Demonstrate basic proficiency in ventilating wigs, altering purchased wigs, attaching lace fronts required. Styling, updo's and salon experience with a focus on client interactions helpful. Basic hand sewing skills needed Possess the ability to copy styles and follow creative design instruction Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and practice excellent teamwork habits with a desire to promote unity with a servant's heart The physical demands of this position are active in nature. You will be expected to be on your feet frequently, walk and stand regularly, sit regularly, work indoors, use step stools, operate small machinery and power tools, and frequently lift/exert up to 50 lb.s of force.
