MAKEUP ARTIST - SAN ANTONIO, TX ABOUT ODD-O-TS' ENTERTAINMENT
Odd-o-Ts' Entertainment is a family-owned and operated entertainment company based in Davenport, FL. Odd-o-Ts' provides unique talent to fill any niche requested from our clients: from stiltwalkers, jugglers, and mimes to musicians to full-scale, self-produced productions.
We specialize in knowing humans:
we cast and hire them, we train them, we lead them through the event, and ultimately craft that incredible human talent into an amazing product that our clients love. We work with Central Florida theme parks, as well as national attractions in other parts of the United States. As a family company, we're not just looking for another employee…we're looking for our newest family member! ROLE This role is a Makeup Artist position for a high profile haunted attraction in San Antonio.
MUST BE LOCAL TO SAN ANTONIO, TX.
No housing provided for out of town. This role reports to the Makeup Manager. Makeup Artists will attend trainings to learn application and care techniques, train actors to self-apply parts of their makeup, use airbrush/prosthetics for advance makeups for up to 40 actors per night and use strict health standards to maintain a safe and clean environment. The ideal candidate will be available for ALL contract dates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Attend Makeup Trainings in late August/early September and assist in the training of actors for self-application Attend all event rehearsals beginning early September. Event days - The Makeup Team will be assigned to either Daytime or Evening Events. Spooktacular opens September 10 and closes November 1 (Thurs-Sun). Howl-o-Scream opens September 11 and closes November 1 (Fri-Sun). Event days include Halloween and availability is required for the holiday. Training and Rehearsals will begin mid August with specific dates TBD. Collaborate with the Makeup Manager to ensure understanding of application techniques, products and equipment Maintain the creative vision of the product by applying makeup as directed according to Look Books and modeled examples Maintain a clean and sanitized work area with proper sanitation techniques while applying to multiple performers throughout the night Anticipate inventory needs while using products and properly communicate needs with the Makeup Manager Maintain a friendly and professional rapport with performers, clients and peers. Clock in and out properly for all shifts Attend team meetings as requested (during paid working hours) Maintain accurate documentation for application, techniques and inventory. Ensure all concerns are reported immediately to management. Ensure cast and staff are treated with respect and their safety is always ensured. Maintain confidentiality of clients and project specifics.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Requirements:
2+ years makeup application experience. Reliable transportation to and from work during all hours of the day (event runs until late nights) Exposure to theme park entertainment, seasonal events and corporate events. Odd-o-Ts' Entertainment is a drug-free company. Medical Marijuana Cards are recognized in states where they are issued.
Personal Attributes:
Effective communicator, able to present ideas clearly orally and in writing. Takes initiative as a self-starter, working with minimal supervision. Exercises stellar judgment in regards to safety Able to take constructive criticism and apply it toward professional growth. Maintains a professional appearance to proudly represent Odd-o-Ts' with their clients. Able to work in an incredibly fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks. Willingness/ability to travel for events is a plus (long term and short term events).
COMPENSATION
This is a Seasonal Position with varied hours.

$20 - $23 per hour
