We are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to student success, excellence in education, and preparing future nail technicians for successful careers in the beauty industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional classroom management skills, and a genuine passion for mentoring students throughout their educational journey. This individual will play a vital role in helping students master practical skills, complete program requirements, and successfully prepare for state board examinations and professional employment. Primary Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective Nail Technology instruction in both theory and practical applications. Create a positive, professional, and motivating learning environment. Teach curriculum using the Tammy Taylor educational system and methodologies. Utilize the CIMA Learning Platform to support student learning, assignments, assessments, and progress tracking. Monitor student attendance, academic progress, practical performance, and professionalism. Accurately enter and maintain student hours, credits, attendance records, and academic documentation within the school's Student Management System. Prepare students for state board written and practical examinations. Conduct theory lectures, demonstrations, hands-on training, and competency evaluations. Provide individualized coaching and academic support to students needing additional assistance. Maintain classroom structure, discipline, and professional standards. Ensure compliance with state board regulations, accreditation standards, and school policies. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Assist students with career readiness, salon professionalism, client communication, and employment preparation. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and clinic environment. Foster student retention through mentorship, encouragement, and proactive intervention when challenges arise. QualificationsRequired Current Nail Technician License in good standing. Current Instructor License Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the nail industry. Previous teaching, training, mentoring, or educational experience. Experience with Tammy Taylor curriculum, platform, and products. Experience using the CIMA Learning Platform. Experience entering and tracking student credits, hours, attendance, and academic records in a Student Management System. Strong understanding of state board regulations, testing procedures, and licensure requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with basic computer applications and educational technology. Preferred Experience in a cosmetology, beauty, or vocational school environment. Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements. Experience supporting student retention and academic success initiatives. Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
