Assistant Nail Technician The Manicurist Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time $20 - $22 an hour 12 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid training Professional development assistance Qualifications Nail care Customer inquiry handling Full Job Description Overview Looking for a passionate nail technician that is either a student working towards getting their license or an already licensed nail technician to work preferably on Saturdays. Alternate days will be an option depending on how motivated you are. You will assist a senior nail technician in taking over some of their clients but also building your own clientele with the help of a senior nail technician. The position is somewhat of a paid mentorship for someone who has strong manicuring skills but needs a little guidance starting out their career as a nail technician. Responsibilities Support senior nail technician in performing soft gel overlays, soft gel fills, Apres Gel X extensions, pedicures, IBX treatments, gel removals Assist with maintaining a clean, sanitized workspace in compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards Help clients select colors, designs, and nail care products by applying knowledge of color theory and current trends Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience Prepare tools and materials for treatments, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and organized Qualifications Nail technician license or proof of current enrollment in a nail school Basic knowledge of cosmetology principles with a focus on nail care and sanitation practices Must be able to use an electric e-file, must know how to do gel fills and must know how to do structured gel manicures Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients Passion for beauty trends and excellent customer service Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to do a gel overly and gel fill in 1.5 hours Familiarity with booking appointments through apps on your phone or willing to learn

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
