Full Job Description Role Summary:

The Nail Designer Lead is a critical in-studio role responsible for driving technical excellence, coaching, and development for all Nail Designers. As a working expert in nail artistry, the Nail Designer Lead supports onboarding, ongoing education, and performance coaching to help team members grow through MiniLuxe's career path—from Level 1, to Senior and Expert status. They ensure the studio upholds the highest service, hygiene, and technical standards while fostering aculture of learning, accountability, and artistry.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Education Lead in-studio onboarding and technical training for new Nail Designers Deliver ongoing coaching, mentorship, and skill-building sessions for the entire nail team Partner with the Trainer & Recruiting Lead to ensure all training materials and programs are consistently implemented Identify technical gaps within the team and provide hands-on coaching to elevate skills and service standards Talent Development & Career Progression Guide Nail Designers through the MiniLuxe leveling system (Level 1 to Level 3/Seniorto Expert) Provide clear, actionable feedback to support team members' growth and advancement Partner with the Studi o Manager and Trainer & Recruiting Lead to assess readiness for promotions and certifications Maintain a high-performing team with technical excellence at all service levels Quality & Service Standards Uphold MiniLuxe's hygiene protocols, service consistency, and technical artistry Serve as a technical role model by delivering best-in-class client services while supporting team development Conduct regular service quality checks to ensure all team members meet MiniLuxe standards Support Studio Manager with technical aspects of day-to-day operations as needed Ensure all tools needed for services are always kept in best condition possible

Qualifications:

Proven technical expertise in nail services, ideally at a Level 3 or Expert standard within MiniLuxe or a comparable environment. Strong knowledge and skill level in Builder Gel, GelX and E-file required Passion for coaching, education, and building other's skills. Effective communication, leadership, and mentorship abilities Commitment to hygiene, service excellence, and maintaining MiniLuxe's Clean Culture Organized and disciplined at delivering on a deadline in an entrepreneurial environment Ability to balance hands-on client work with team coaching responsibilities Self-motivated and takes initiative with a positive, fun, and upbeat demeanor -- the ability to think outside the box and have fun while you are doing it!

Success Metrics:

Smooth onboarding and technical readiness of new Nail Designers Team progression through levels with clear, documented skill development High service quality scores and technical consistency across the nail team Positive team engagement, culture of learning, and retention of top talent

Compensation:

$25/hour Cash and Credit Card tips Commision of 42% once revenue threshold is met.

Please note:

This role requires 2+years experience and a valid state issued license. This role may require you to work in multiple MiniLuxe studios and/or at off premise events.
