This position is a W2 hourly position with a billable hourly pay of $20.00 per hour while taking care of clients with additional performance based sliding scale bonuses and retail commission for added income. Welcome to The Avalon Day Spa, your career discovery starts here. Job Overview We are seeking individuals who are skilled and passionate to join our growing spa. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a variety of nail services, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a team oriented environment where education and customer service serves as a reminder of our company culture. The spa practitioners provide a 360 comprehensive service. This starts when the guest arrives and does not end until the guest leaves. Duties Provide professional nail care services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and artistry. Educate clients on nail health, proper maintenance, and recommended treatments to enhance their overall experience. Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by properly disinfecting tools and workstations after each client. Stay current with the latest trends in nail design, color theory, and innovative techniques Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth flow of appointments and provide excellent customer service from greeting to checkout. Be willing to advocate for yourself by building your books through our referral program and posting on social media Requirements Valid active cosmetology license or manicurist license as required by state or local regulations. Strong knowledge of nail care techniques, including cuticle care, shaping, polishing, and nail art enhancements. Strong knowledge in pedicures, manicures, gel, GelX, GelX Bare, and Luminary Builder Gel Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and understand their preferences. Sanitize tools and work stations to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be willing to work in spa, attend paid staff meetings and participate in paid off site marketing events. Demonstrate knowledge of retail items that may benefit client homecare and be able to provide product recommendations Motivated with follow through to stay updated on trends in the nail care industry and be able to provide informed suggestions to clients Willing to complete additional advanced educational opportunities provided and be open to professional development assistance that is available Maintain accurate records of services performed and client preferences.
