TBD JOB PURPOSE
: Provides professional nail care treatments for the Spa and is involved in the spa and guest services operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs expert nail care treatments. All treatments are to be performed to specific guidelines. Utilizes product efficiently, maintains product inventory and cleanliness. Completes commission reports accurately and timely. Provides knowledge to the guest for continued nail care utilizing products sold at the Spa. Provide appropriate nail care treatments based on the desire and health of the guest. Do not change the type of treatment without the consent of the guest. Provide professional nail care treatments in accordance with industry practices and a consistent manner with the spa. Provide all guests with consistent services for up to an 8-hour period. Treatment durations include 25 and 50 minutes. Properly educate guests in regards to a Spa treatment and recommend appropriate products for each service given and other spa services. Maintain a clean and well-stocked environment in nail care treatment area according to Department of Health and Departmental Standards. Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND
ABILITIES
): Must be at least 21 years of age. Highest level of competence in nail care services for both hands and feet and has a complete understanding of all spa services presently offered. Excellent human relations skills. Able to communicate with the general public in a courteous and professional manner. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be flexible and adapt easily. Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational. Strong team player. Must be comfortable with product recommendation. Demonstrated competence in specialty nail treatments CPR certification is preferred. Must follow safety precautions and requirements.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or
GED. 1-3
years nail care experience in a resort, private club or upscale salon. Valid Cosmetology license as required by the of New Mexico.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Sitting 100%. Ability to grasp, lift, push, pull, and carry or otherwise move materials weighing up to 25 lbs. Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop, and reach on a continuous basis up to an 8-hour shift. Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
