Duties Perform professional nail care services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and intricate nail art designs. Apply advanced techniques such as nail extensions, gel polish application, and nail embellishments to create customized looks. Maintain strict sanitation standards by disinfecting tools and workstations after each client to ensure safety and hygiene. Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles, and educate them on nail care routines. Stay current with the latest trends in color theory, nail art, and industry innovations to offer fresh ideas and techniques. Upsell additional services like body waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments to enhance client satisfaction. Manage retail sales of nail products and beauty accessories while demonstrating excellent communication skills to inform clients about product benefits. Qualifications Proven experience in cosmetology or specialized training in nail care and design. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and safety protocols within a salon environment. Familiarity with color theory, nail art techniques, and current beauty trends. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients. Ability to perform detailed work such as intricate nail art, hair extensions, or dermabrasion treatments if applicable. Basic retail math skills for managing product sales and upselling opportunities effectively. Certifications in cosmetology or related fields are preferred; ongoing education in esthetic treatments like laser therapy or hair styling is a plus.
