[ Must have instructor license to teach in Virginia] Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Nail Tech Instructor to inspire and educate aspiring nail technicians in a dynamic beauty education environment. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons, mentor students through hands-on training, and ensure they acquire the essential skills needed for successful careers in nail care and related beauty treatments. Your expertise will help shape the next generation of beauty professionals, fostering confidence, creativity, and technical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your industry experience with your love for teaching and mentorship. Duties Develop comprehensive lesson plans covering nail care techniques, skincare, and aesthetic treatments such as facials, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and dermabrasion. Deliver engaging classroom instruction on topics including nail technology, skincare, massage therapy, hair styling, hair extensions, hair coloring, hair threading, and esthetic laser treatments. Supervise students during practical sessions to ensure proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Mentor students by providing constructive feedback on their skills and progress to support their professional growth. Guide students through exam preparation and assist with portfolio development to meet licensing standards. Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing health regulations and hygiene practices in all practical activities. Stay current with industry trends and certifications to continuously enhance curriculum relevance and quality. Qualifications Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in nail care, skincare, massage therapy, hair styling, coloring, threading, waxing, eyelash extensions, or esthetic laser treatments. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to cosmetology and aesthetic treatments. Prior classroom experience or training in adult education or teaching is highly preferred. Excellent student supervision skills combined with a talent for mentoring and motivating learners. Ability to develop detailed lesson plans that incorporate hands-on practice and theoretical knowledge. Familiarity with dermabrasion techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, facials, makeup application, body waxing, hair extensions, hair coloring methods, eyelash extension procedures, and other aesthetic treatments. Exceptional communication skills to clearly convey complex concepts to diverse learners. Certification or licensure in cosmetology or related fields is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
