Casting "Vaya con Huevos," a proof-of-concept short film for a feature-length script. It is a regionally inspired dramedy exploring themes of intercultural relationships, addiction, parenthood and the revolving door of incarceration.

The premise:

Released from county jail on the same day, two unlikely lovers embark on a whirlwind, drug-fueled romance that leads to an unplanned pregnancy. Answering a Craigslist ad to work-trade on a farm, they must navigate early sobriety, impending parenthood, and their fledgling relationship, all while contending with an uptight, mildly exploitative landowner. The short will be the opening scenes of the film--where Annie and Toni meet on the long walk from county jail and become fast friends. 1-2 days of filming, six minutes or less.
