We are looking for photogenic individuals who want to dress up and attend otakon and photoshoots. We are helping staff a photo booth at Otakon and need involved assistants! Our current outfits typically fit small and medium frames only. Whether you're new or an old hat about cosplay, performance, and engaging with diverse audiences? We are seeking energetic and charismatic individuals to join us as Cosplay Participants/Models. In this dynamic role, you will bring beloved characters to life through creative costume design and captivating performances. Your enthusiasm and talent will help create memorable experiences at conventions, promotional events, and community gatherings. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your acting, dancing, and public speaking skills while connecting with fans and audiences of all ages. Responsibilities Perform in cosplay costumes, embodying characters with authenticity and enthusiasm during events and photo sessions Engage with event attendees through lively crowd interaction, answering questions, and sharing insights about your character or costume Deliver engaging presentations or short performances, including dancing or acting segments, to entertain diverse audiences Collaborate with event organizers and fellow performers to coordinate schedules and ensure seamless event flow Assist in setting up costumes, props, and stage areas to ensure safety and visual appeal while streamlining the photo shoots Skills Strong public speaking abilities with confidence in addressing large crowds using microphones Experience in acting, theater, or performance arts that enhances character portrayal Skilled in dancing or movement-based performances to energize audiences Excellent communication skills for effective crowd interaction and teamwork Ability to work comfortably with children and diverse demographics in a friendly manner Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus for engaging younger fans or conducting workshops Familiarity with cosplay costume creation or design is advantageous but not required Join us in celebrating creativity and fandom!
