Duties Provide expert hair styling, coloring, extensions, and grooming services using advanced techniques such as balayage, highlights, and precision cuts. Perform nail care services including manicures, pedicures, and eyelash extensions with meticulous attention to hygiene and sanitation protocols. Manage daily salon operations by overseeing front desk activities, scheduling appointments through salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms, and ensuring smooth client flow. Lead retail sales efforts by upselling hair care products, retail math calculations, and promoting retail items to enhance client results and salon revenue. Mentor and train team members on current trends in hair styling, barbering (including straight razor shaves), color theory, and nail care techniques to foster professional growth. Maintain a clean, sanitized environment adhering to all sanitation standards; ensure tools and equipment are properly sterilized after each use. Cultivate excellent client communication by understanding individual needs, offering personalized recommendations, and building lasting relationships for repeat business. Requirements Valid cosmetology license with experience working in the beauty industry; additional barbering certification (including straight razor) is a plus. Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY or equivalent for scheduling and client management. Strong knowledge of hair care products, hair coloring techniques, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and retail sales strategies. Exceptional communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members; ability to mentor others is highly valued. Demonstrated expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Experience managing salon operations or store management responsibilities is preferred but not required.
