Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Spa Supervisor will assist with daily operations of the Spa, primarily with the Pool and Spa Front Desk. Day-to-day leadership ensures AAA Four Diamond standards are provided to Guests by Team Members. The Spa Supervisor will also assist in the development of Spa Team Members. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
1. Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times. 2. Work with the Spa Management team to develop and implement plans to ensure the Spa Operations for Pool and for Front Desk maintain AAA Four Diamond service standards. 3. Train Spa Team in Pool set-up procedure and daily maintenance of pool which involves daily cleaning; routine furniture and cabed cover changing; daily polishing of umbrella stands; cleaning tables; and folding towels. 4. Train both Pool Attendants and Front Desk Team Members on Four Diamond interaction with all Guests for checking in, touring and explanation of facilities. Inform all team members of Hotel and Casino operations so that they are able to relay information to Guests. 5. Assist in all areas of Spa operations as requested by the Spa Manager. 6. Communicate all occurrences involving Team Members or Guests in the Spa that require management attention. Handle Guests' questions and concerns professionally and courteously. 7. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well organized work area. 8. Properly open, close, and supervise Spa and Pool areas according to standard operating procedures. 9. Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and meetings for the Spa. 10. Oversee training of all Front Desk Receptionists. Coach and develop Team Members to achieve expected goals by maintaining a consistent, approachable demeanor and by articulating department expectations. 11. Accurately book, change and cancel Spa appointments. 12. Actively promote the Spa, treatments, services, and retail products as well as programs, promotions, and discounts available. 13. Assist Spa Manager in inventory control. 14. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company. 15. Be available to staff; include staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; provide regular performance feedback; develop Team Members' skills and encourage growth. 16. Delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Previous Spa/Resort experience is preferred. 2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous working experience with point of sale systems. 3. Ability to inspire and motivate others to perform well and accept feedback from others. 4. Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information. 5. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills, and conduct productive meetings. 6. Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently, and develop realistic action plans. 7. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. 8. Must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays. 9. At least 21 years of age. 10. Ability to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. 2. Requires walking, reaching, turning, bending, lifting, carrying, observing, hearing, sitting. 3. Must be able to sit for the duration of shift. 4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 5. Manual dexterity to use job related equipment.
