Lotus Village is seeking a professional licensed cosmetologist to develop and coordinate holistic, uplifting enrichment programming for women and children at a homeless shelter. The Salon Services Coordinator is an integral member of the Lotus Village in service of high special needs women and children experiencing homelessness. The Salon Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a wide array of classes and programming such as hair education, nail services, facials and other activities that will serve as an outlet for the women and children at the shelter. The right candidate will be energetic, have experience and love working with children and people of all ages with high special needs, and above all, seek to make a real difference in the lives of women and children in our community. Responsibilities and Duties Assisting with the development and implementation of a diverse range of holistic, educational, healing and empowering programs and activities for Lotus House participants (including alumni), including by way of example, and not in limitation, preventive educational programming for adults and children, hair and beauty services in our Healing Hands Salon, enrichment activities, field trips, holiday events, and ensuring this is provided in a trauma informed environment and manner; Ensuring the Healing Hands Salon is fully stocked with needed supplies, clean, and all supplies disinfected at the end of every day; Making salon services appointments for guests; Meeting standards of care established by the Foundation and tracking and reporting program participation, grant requirements and compliance with Foundation standards; Assisting in documenting, reporting and compliance with the grants, funding agreements and other contracts, insurance policies and agreements of the Foundation, as well as compliance with applicable laws, including fire safety procedures; and Volunteer oversight and coordination and establishment of networks, alliances and working relationships between the Foundation and other community organizations for accessing available services and resources in the community.
