Job Description

Sylvan Learning is seeking a Center Director with experience in consultative sales. An education background is helpful, but not required. This role is a strong fit for someone who can build rapport with families, understand student needs, recommend appropriate programs, explain pricing, follow up consistently, and confidently guide prospective families. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, organized, personable, and comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of the center. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the learning center Conduct consultations with prospective families Recommend appropriate Sylvan programs and explain pricing Follow up with prospective families and support enrollment Build strong relationships with current students and families Coordinate student and tutor schedules Supervise and support part-time tutors Monitor student progress and communicate with parents Support center enrollment, retention, and overall performance Required Qualifications Experience in consultative sales or demonstrated comfort with consultative selling Strong communication and relationship-building skills Self-directed and able to manage responsibilities without constant supervision Strong organization and follow-through Comfortable supervising staff and managing multiple priorities Comfortable learning and using business and instructional systems Dependable and professional Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree Previous management or supervisory experience Previous experience in sales, customer service, education, tutoring, or business operations
Compensation:
Base compensation plus performance-based commission/incentives
Job Type:
Full-time Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, with some evening hours and alternating Saturdays based on center needs.
