Assistant Spa Manager The Assistant Spa Manager is a key leadership position within a luxury spa environment, charged with supporting the Spa Manager in overseeing all facets of daily operations. This role is integral to maintaining the spa's reputation for excellence by focusing on both the guest experience and business growth. With a strong emphasis on driving retail sales, the Assistant Spa Manager leads and develops a team of client advisors and retail staff, ensuring that both individual and collective goals are consistently achieved. In addition to sales leadership, the Assistant Spa Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming, high-end atmosphere for guests, providing attentive service, and resolving any concerns with professionalism and discretion. They proactively develop and implement strategic merchandising and promotional initiatives, working closely with the Spa Manager to analyze sales performance data and identify new opportunities for growth. Their efforts support the achievement of business objectives and contribute to the overall profitability of the spa.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership:
Proactively drive retail sales through strategic merchandising, promotional initiatives, and client engagement. Support the Spa Manager in analyzing sales performance data to identify opportunities for growth and implement action plans accordingly.
Team Development:
Lead, coach, and motivate client advisors and retail staff to achieve individual and team sales goals. Conduct regular training sessions to elevate product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily floor operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Ensure the retail area is consistently presented to luxury standards and that all systems operate efficiently.
Customer Experience:
Maintain exceptional customer service standards, consistently delivering an elevated spa and retail experience. Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Spa Manager and other department leaders to support succession planning, staff development, and achievement of business objectives.
Technical Proficiency:
Utilize spa management and scheduling software, digital booking/POS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline operations and generate insightful reports Guest Experience & Service Excellence Serve as a brand ambassador, greeting and assisting clients in a warm, knowledgeable, and discreet manner while promoting premium products and services. Monitor client feedback and proactively implement service improvements that reinforce the brand's luxury positioning and drive repeat business. Maintain a safe, serene, and meticulously clean spa environment that reflects the brand's premium standards. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience accepted. Minimum 1 year of management experience within a high-end spa or luxury retail environment, with a proven track record of driving retail sales and team development. Core Competencies Exceptional customer service orientation with emotional intelligence and discretion. Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, motivate, and succession plan diverse teams of luxury sales advisors and estheticians. Keen attention to detail, operational discipline, and a relentless drive for growth and profitability. Technical Proficiency Proficient in spa management systems, scheduling software, and digital booking/POS platforms. Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in analyzing sales performance data and inventory management.
