  • to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our upscale salon.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and service industry management. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the salon, maintaining high standards of client satisfaction, and driving business growth through effective team management and operational oversight. This is a flexible, part time position with occasional nights or weekend events. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the salon team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets. Manage daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards. Oversee employee orientation, training & development schedule, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled and motivated staff. Handle recruiting efforts, interviewing candidates, and onboarding new team members. Manage accurate financial records. Maintain inventory management including purchasing, stock control, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, product sales management, and reporting. Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and customer experience. Supervise retail sales activities, manage retail industry sales teams, and oversee store merchandising efforts. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate policies, sales goals, and operational updates. Monitor store performance metrics such as retail math, sales management KPIs, and inventory control measures. Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette or in-person interactions. Ensure proper store presentation through stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean environment. Support budgeting efforts and assist in strategic planning for store growth. Experience Proven managerial experience in retail or salon environments with a strong background in team supervision and operations management. Experience with employee orientation, training & development programs, recruiting processes, payroll administration, bookkeeping, and inventory management a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, retail sales techniques, merchandising strategies, pricing policies, and cash handling procedures. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff while maintaining high standards of customer service. Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in time management and operational oversight. Prior experience in retail industry sales team management or store management is highly desirable. $20.00 - $28.95 per hour
