$35-$40 per hour , based on experience, performance, and productivity (hourly + tips + management incentive) Position Overview Pigtails & Crewcuts - Asheville is seeking a hands‑on Salon Manager / Lead Stylist to lead our team while working behind the chair. This is a 2‑in‑1 role designed for an experienced stylist who enjoys leadership, loves working with children, and values a fun, family‑focused salon environment. This position combines daily salon management responsibilities with active stylist duties , ensuring a great experience for both guests and team members. Key Responsibilities Styling & Guest Experience Provide professional haircuts and basic styling services for children of all ages Deliver a warm, patient, and engaging experience for kids and parents Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and safety Lead by example on service quality and brand experience Team Leadership & Management Oversee daily salon operations, including scheduling and workflow Hire, train, coach, and support stylists and support staff Set expectations and foster a positive, team‑oriented culture Coach team members on productivity, customer service, and professionalism Business & Operations Manage appointment flow, walk‑ins, and productivity targets Ensure compliance with state board regulations and company policies Support owner with inventory management, retail setup, and basic ordering Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns promptly and professionally Qualifications Current NC Cosmetology or Barber License (required) 3+ years of stylist experience; leadership or management experience preferred Enjoy working with children and families in a fast‑paced environment Strong communication, organization, and people‑leadership skills Patient, positive, dependable, and professional demeanor Comfortable balancing leadership duties with time behind the chair Compensation & Benefits $35-$40/hour earning potential , based on experience and performance Tips + management incentive opportunity Immediate, established customer base No late nights!
